Northland Ventures LLC, doing business as Jakten ("Jakten," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information entrusted to us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to our customers.
Our goal is simple:
Jakten is committed to collecting only the information reasonably necessary to operate our products, administer subscriptions, and support our customers.

Depending on how you interact with Jakten, we may collect:

To administer commercial licensing we may collect:
Activation requests
Subscription identifiers

When visiting Jakten websites we may collect:

IP address
Referring pages
Website usage analytics
Advertising click identifiers, when you reach our website from an online advertisement
3. Customer Project Data
Jakten Platform is designed so that Customer project information generally remains within systems selected and controlled by the Customer.
Unless the Customer separately elects a hosted service offered by Jakten in the future, Customer project information is not routinely transmitted to Jakten.
Examples of Customer Data include:
Estimates
Risk registers
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) libraries
Company standards
Historical project information
Reports
Resource plans
Cashflow data
Configuration
Other project information created by the Customer
Jakten does not intentionally collect Customer project content as part of routine:
Software activation
Subscription validation
Seat management
Commercial licensing
Customer project information may only be shared with Jakten when:
The Customer explicitly requests technical support;
The Customer voluntarily uploads files or diagnostic information; or
Disclosure is otherwise required by applicable law.
4. How We Use Information
Jakten uses collected information to:
Provide commercial licensing
Authenticate users
Activate subscriptions
Validate commercial entitlements
Administer Seat assignments
Process subscription renewals
Improve product quality
Provide customer support
Respond to legal obligations
Protect the security of Jakten services
We do not sell Customer information to third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
Jakten utilizes certain third-party providers to operate portions of our business.
These may include providers of:
Payment processing
Cloud hosting
Email delivery
Website analytics
Advertising measurement
Authentication
Documentation hosting
These providers process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law.
Jakten shares only the information reasonably necessary for these providers to perform their services.
6. Cookies, Website Analytics, and Advertising Measurement
Jakten’s commercial website may use optional Google Analytics to understand website usage and improve the site.
Website analytics are not required for the site to work. Visitors may allow or decline analytics.
When analytics are allowed, Google Analytics may process general usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device or browser characteristics, and referral information.
Your analytics choice is stored locally in your browser on that device. You can change the choice later through Analytics preferences in the website footer.
Declining analytics keeps analytics off for later visits on that browser and removes analytics cookies this website can clear. Changing a browser preference does not delete information already sent to Google.
Advertising Measurement
When you reach the Jakten website from an online advertisement, the advertising platform adds a click identifier to the address of the page you arrive on. Jakten stores that identifier in your browser on that device and includes it in the address if you continue from our website to Jakten checkout.
If you then complete a purchase, Jakten reports that purchase, including its value and the click identifier, to the advertising platform so that we can tell which advertisements lead to sales. That report is sent from Jakten's own systems after payment is confirmed. It is not sent from your browser.
This measurement does not load advertising tags on our website, does not set advertising cookies, and is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Advertising personalization remains disabled on the Jakten website regardless of your analytics choice.
A click identifier is stored only when you arrive from an advertisement, and it is discarded after ninety (90) days. Clearing site data for jakten.net in your browser removes it sooner.
Because this measurement records which advertisement preceded a purchase, it operates independently of the optional website analytics described above and is not governed by the analytics preference in the website footer.
7. Security
Jakten employs reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process.
While no system can guarantee absolute security, Jakten continually works to protect Customer information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Customers remain responsible for securing systems under their own control, including customer-hosted deployments.
8. Data Retention
Jakten retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Provide commercial services
Administer subscriptions
Maintain licensing records
Comply with legal obligations
Resolve disputes
Prevent fraud
Support materials voluntarily provided by Customers are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the associated issue unless otherwise required by law.
9. International Transfers
Jakten primarily operates from the United States.
Information may be processed in jurisdictions where Jakten or its service providers operate.
Jakten takes reasonable measures to protect information transferred across jurisdictions consistent with applicable law.
10. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, Customers may request to:
Access information held by Jakten
Correct inaccurate information
Update account information
Delete information where legally permissible
Obtain information regarding our privacy practices
Certain information may be retained where required for legal, accounting, licensing, fraud prevention, or contractual purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
Jakten Platform is intended for professional business use.
Our products and services are not directed toward children under thirteen (13) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Jakten may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When material changes are made, Customers may be asked to review and accept the updated Privacy Policy before continuing to use commercial features of Jakten Platform.
